Frequently Asked Questions

According to the marketplace guidelines, you can sell true vintage clothing and accessories (Y2K or earlier) or your own designs through your own independent label. Customers can filter the site easily between new and vintage pieces – so you can find your target audience easily.

ASOS charges a 20% commission on sales made through their platform. They also offer a student discount on their membership with NUS Extra once their card expires to continue benefiting from this offer.

To become a boutique on ASOS Marketplace you must be selling either your own designs or a true vintage collection (Y2K or older). ASOS is selective about the kind of boutiques that can sell on their platform. If you think your boutique will fit their criteria, submit an application once it is open and they will get back to you within three working days.

After your application is accepted (congratulations!), the next step is to create your boutique storefront. This is completely customizable and allows you to create your own branded space within ASOS Marketplace. You can personalize your brand bio, storefront image, and logo, as well as arrange the layout of your products. If you need assistance at any point, the seller support team will help you. Your brand bio is important for attracting traffic from search engines to your boutique. Be sure to highlight key products, any well-known vintage brands you carry, and your brand’s unique selling point (anything that people might search for that you specialize in). Also, remember to link your storefront to your social media channels to increase visibility!

You can choose between two options:
  • Seller Fulfilled Orders (SFO): You manage the entire fulfillment process, including packaging, shipping, and returns. Ensure you have a robust logistics setup for efficient deliveries across Europe, especially if dealing with cross-border sales.
  • ASOS Fulfillment (VXF) (additional fees): Leverage ASOS’ fulfillment services for a streamlined process (storage, picking, packing, and delivery).
