Online shopping is becoming increasingly popular owing to the convenience it offers, making the requirement of return policies all the more important. Vendor RMA Addon features return merchandise for a marketplace created using Multi-Vendor Marketplace extension. That will include process of returns or refunds between customer, vendor and administrator over Magento 2 store.
RMA system stands for Return merchandise authorization system. RMA is a part of the process of returning a product to receive a refund, replacement, or repair during some particular time period (return policy of Ecommerce Company). Every ecommerce company has their own return policy. Some companies allow only defective products to be returned, others allow unopened product.
To return the product there are two procedures offline and online.
The customer calls the customer support. The customer care executive helps to determine whether the product is eligible return. To determine which the customer care executive asks several questions to the customer. If the executive find that the product is eligible for return, the executive issues an RMA. Some companies allow the customer to send an e-mail message requesting an RMA instead of having to call.
In the next step the customer must write the RMA number on the outside of the box that the product is being shipped in. It is important to mail all the original boxes, manuals, and any other items along with the product. If a return is sent without an RMA number, the merchant can return the product to the customer.
With the Magento 2 Vendor RMA Addon, customers can raise RMA request from My Account section. and can return the products to either vendor or the admin, whoever is the seller of the product.
In online shopping customers completely rely on the product description and images. So a clear return policy gives customers a sense of security.If any ecommerce company does not have a clear return policy, then the customer becomes suspicious and avoid buying the product.

Vendor RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) Addon, developed by CedCommerce provides a feature that enables the front-end users to return the products to either vendor or admin, whoever is the seller of the product. This add-on works only with CedCommerce Multivendor Marketplace extension and the Vendor Order add-on. An administrator can handle RMA if a vendor fails to do so, and increase site’s authentication.
RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) is a part of the process of returning a product to receive a refund, get the product replaced, or get the product repaired during warranty period defined by the admin.
If the customer has placed the order that contains products of multiple vendors, and requests RMA for the complete order, then RMA splits into multiple requests, where each one contains the products of individual vendor.
Since all the payments are received by the admin and then admin transfers the amount to the respective vendors after deducting the commission, the credit memo for refund is generated automatically as soon as the vendor or admin approves RMA request.

Vendor magento 2 RMA module gives a second chance to the vendors and the administrators to meet the expectations of any unsatisfied customer from either the admin’s end or the vendors end.
After successful installation of our Vendor RMA-product return addon magento 2 first admin has to set the configuration settings to enable the features of the addon.
On the left navigation bar, click the Marketplace menu, and then click Vendor Configuration. Entire RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) configuration is divided into 5 sections-

In Vendor RMA Addon (Return Merchandise Authorization) developed by CedCommerce, customer can raise return request product wise, If a customer feels that the product delivered to him was not up to the mark , such as Customer received incorrect size, product no longer needed, product does not match description on website or in catalog, the product gets damaged quickly, is of lower quality than promised, the Vendor RMA Addon (Return Merchandise Authorization) allows the administrator to build a platform for customers to complain regarding the problems faced with the vendor’s as well as admin product. If a customer wants to create RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) for some of the products from amongst a group, so our Vendor RMA Addon allows to generate RMA for an individual product.
