Amazon Prime-day event is to be held on the 21st and 22nd June this year, and the buzz is already doing the rounds on social media. This time Amazon is encouraging the small size businesses to make the most of this event and hence have started a campaign that rewards the shoppers for buying from small businesses.
Amazon informed that “From June 7 to 20, 2021, Amazon will offer customers the opportunity to earn a credit to spend on Prime Day 2021. Investing in the success of small business is a fundamental part of our work at Amazon and we know that customers share our commitment to supporting small businesses in their communities. Prime members who spend 10 USD on eligible products from small business brands will get a 10 USD promotional credit, funded by Amazon. On Prime Day the credit can be used to purchase products from businesses of all sizes.”
Amazon has stated earlier in the press release that “This year, more than 300,000 sellers are eligible for the “Spend $10, Get $10” promotion—more than twice as many as last year—giving customers more opportunities to support small businesses”.
Amazon also informed the sellers “If your products are included in the promotion, you will receive an email on June 7 with a link to view your promotion-eligible products”.
Amazon’s E-mail read as:
“Congratulations! Your business is included in our Prime Day promotions to connect customers with local innovators, artisans, and entrepreneurs:
Prime members in the US earn a $10 credit to use on prime Day when they spend $10 or more on select small-business products from June 7, 2021, to June 20, 2021.
Amazon Prime Store card holders in the US earn up to 10% back on purchases of select small-business products from June 7 to June 20″.
Amazon has also encouraged the eligible sellers to use #SupportSmallWithAmazon on social media and make the most of this situation.
