Amazon has expanded Multi-Channel Fulfilment (MCF) and the broader Supply Chain by Amazon offering so sellers can use Amazon’s logistics network to fulfil orders placed on Walmart Marketplace, Shopify stores, and SHEIN, in addition to other non-Amazon channels. This formalizes support for major rival platforms and adds tooling to streamline multi-channel operations.

What changed

  • Official support for Walmart, Shopify, SHEIN via MCF: Sellers can now pick, pack, and ship Walmart.com, Shopify, and SHEIN orders using Amazon’s network with shared inventory, order import, tracking, and delivery SLAs.
  • Announced at/around Amazon Accelerate 2025: Part of a broader Supply Chain by Amazon refresh unveiled during the event.

Why it matters

  • One pool of inventory, more channels: Stock once in Amazon facilities; fulfill orders from Walmart, Shopify, and SHEIN with Amazon pick/pack/ship and tracking.
  • Official Walmart support clarified: Walmart now permits MCF for marketplace orders, addressing previous ambiguity.
  • Operational speed & coverage: Amazon highlights same-/next-day growth and expanded eligible selection through MCF.

What’s included (at a glance)

  • MCF for Walmart, Shopify, SHEIN with order import, real-time tracking, and shared inventory management.
  • Broader Supply Chain by Amazon updates unveiled at Accelerate 2025.

Nuance & watch-outs

  • Brand/packaging experience: Validate channel rules for packaging and delivery experience when using an external 3PL on rival platforms. (Amazon emphasizes speed; marketplaces may require disclosure or restrict branding.)
  • Policy compliance: Ensure Walmart/SHEIN terms permit Amazon logistics for your account type; eligibility can vary by category and region.

eCommerce sellers — how to use this

If you sell on Shopify + Walmart or SHEIN, you can centralize inventory in Amazon facilities and connect orders from those channels to Amazon MCF.

  1. Keep CedCommerce for orchestration: Continue using third party integrations such as CedCommerce tools for catalog, listings, pricing, and order sync across channels.
  2. Configure MCF as your 3PL: In your workflow, route eligible orders (Shopify ↔ Walmart, Shopify ↔ SHEIN, etc.) to MCF. Many merchants link Seller Central and channel accounts for automatic sync and tracking.
  3. Monitor SLAs & buffers: Track latency and deliverability in your dashboards; adjust safety stock buffers per channel SLA.
