What Is the Walmart Pro Seller Program?

What’s New in the Walmart Pro Seller Program?
New Tiers & Eligibility Criteria
Walmart’s Pro Seller program now introduces a tiered system designed to help sellers progress through three levels: Rising Seller, Advanced Seller, and Pro Seller. Each tier comes with its own set of metrics that sellers must meet to unlock various benefits.
- On-Time Delivery Rate: Starting at 90% for Rising Sellers, this requirement climbs to 95% for Pro Sellers. This metric ensures that sellers deliver products promptly, enhancing the buyer’s experience.
- Cancellation Rate: Rising Sellers must maintain a cancellation rate below 2.5%, while Pro Sellers face a stricter cap of 1.5%. A low cancellation rate reflects a seller’s reliability in fulfilling orders.
- Seller Responsiveness Rate: Effective communication is critical. To meet Walmart’s standards, Rising Sellers need to maintain a 90% responsiveness rate, increasing to 95% for Pro Sellers, ensuring timely responses to customer inquiries.
Two new metrics have been introduced in the program:
- Delivery Score: This measures how accurately sellers meet promised delivery dates. For Rising Sellers, a score of just 5% is needed, but Pro Sellers must hit 50% or higher, rewarding those who provide more precise delivery timelines.
- Content Score: Walmart requires a minimum content score of 65% for Rising Sellers and 75% for Pro Sellers, ensuring that product listings are detailed and meet quality standards.

Additionally, the Price Competitiveness Score requires sellers across all levels to maintain a score of at least 60%, pushing sellers to stay competitive with their pricing.
To qualify for these tiers, sellers must have completed over 100 orders, have been active in the last 90 days, and adhere to all marketplace policies. These foundational criteria ensure that sellers are consistently engaged and follow Walmart’s standards, providing a strong platform for growth as they move up the levels.
